FC Summer Sixes at AJFC

AJFC FC Summer Sixes Registration Now Open

Looking for a football option with Abbotsford Juniors for your child this Summer?  Then look no further.  This year, you can register your team to play with AJFC as part of the Football Canterbury Summer Sixes ("FC Sixes") competition.

What is FC Sixes?
FC Sixes is a six-a-side football competition played on a smaller field with smaller goals, ensuring players get more touches of the ball and a lot more action - ideal for AJFC teams looking to keep their football development and stay connected through spring and summer.

The FC Sixes season starts on the week of Tuesday 8th October and will finish the week of Thursday 12th December with each team playing ten games (pending wet weather) on weeknights with the youngest team's kickoff first, starting from 5:30pm, followed by senior teams which will start kick-off anytime from 6:50pm.  Competition nights will vary by age group and games will be played in Hubs at one of three parks (Rudd Park, Strathfield Park and Beaman Park) subject to the number of teams participating in each age group.

For more information about the FC Sixes Summer Competition, please visit the Football Canterbury Association website here.

How much is Registration?
Youth (8-18 years):     $145*
Seniors (19 years +):  $180*
* - Credit card fees apply

The individual registration fee is the only cost to play FC Sixes. There is no team registration fee to be paid.
This covers the provision of referees, field hire and Football NSW insurance cover.

Registration with AJFC for FC Sixes as a Player
To register as a player or team with Abbotsford Juniors for the upcoming 2024 FC Sixes season, please
follow the steps below:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  -  Registration with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club (and all other Clubs in the Football Canterbury Association) for FC Sixes is completed in the Dribl Registration website
  -  Consideration should be given to uploading a new passport style photo of the player being registered to avoid issues with old or out of date photos when playing
  - Players returning from playing with AJFC during the 2022, 2023 or 2024 Winter Competitions can use their existing Dribl Registration account to register, updating any relevant details as required.

Step 1 - Obtain your Services NSW Active Kids Voucher (where eligible)
Abbotsford Juniors Football Club is a registered activity provider and you can use your eligible Active Kids Voucher against your player registration fee.  To obtain your Voucher, please visit the online Services NSW application page - Apply for an Active Kids voucher.  Please note that the NSW Government has changed both the amount and eligibility rules which may mean your child's eligibility may have changed.

Step 2 - If required, create a Dribl Registration Account (registration.dribl.com)
For players and parents who have not registered with Abbotsford Juniors Football Club or another club within the Football Association Association, click Login (top right hand side of the screen) and select the Create Account button to setup your new account.

Step 3 - Navigate to the Dribl Registration system and select FC Sixes 2024 and follow the steps detailed in our Dribl Registration Guide remembering to provide your team name and/or coach's name when requested.

You can manage and request multiple player (plus coach and manager) registrations from a single Dribl Registration Account.  For example, a parent who plays can register themselves and their 2 children from a single account and email address.

Registering a team with AJFC for FC Sixes
Team coaches and/or managers who wish to register a team with AJFC for the FC Sixes competition should first register as a coach or manager in Dribl (visit our Coach and Manager Registration page for more information).

Once registration is completed, please email registrar@abbotsfordjuniorsfc.com.au with the details of your team, your team name and the players who are to be assigned to the team.  Please be sure to let our Club Registrar know if you require or are open to additional players joining the team.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you are a coach and are wanting to bring a whole team to play FC Sixes, the team needs to be registered with AJFC by Sunday 15th September, at the very latest.

AJFC Playing Kit for FC Sixes in 2024
AJFC players who register with the Club to play FC Sixes are free to use their existing AJFC playing kit (shorts and socks).  New players joining the Club for the first time will be able to purchase shorts and socks (delivery fee applies) through the Abbotsford Juniors Football Club Store.
All players will need to provide your own shin-pads and soccer boots.

FC Sixes player jerseys will be supplied by the Club directly to team coaches and managers for distribution to players within the team – they will not be ordered on an individual basis.  Please note that while a range of jersey sizes will be provided for each team, should a suitable size not be available, an exchange will be possible for an alternate size jersey on nominated dates and times at the Abbotsford Juniors Club House.

All player jerseys are to be collected and returned at the end of the FC Sixes competition to your team coach and manager.  A failure to return a jersey may result in the player/parent assigned the jersey being charged the cost of the jersey by way of a fine.
